Apollo 13 was the seventh manned mission in the American Apollo space program and the third mission that was intended to land on the Moon.

On April 11, 1970, the Apollo 13 mission was launched from 39A at Kennedy Space Center. The crew was James A. Lovell, Commander, John L. Swigert, Jr. command Module Pilot, and Fred W. Haise, Jr. Lunar Module Pilot. The Apollo 13 Mission was to be the third mission to get to the moon. After 56 hours of flight there was an explosion causing them to return to earth.
